Teaching our children courage

“Growing up” is something we all get to experience. We grow “up” physically, becoming taller and having new perspectives as a result.

Emotionally growing includes a similar, universal development. Like our physical bodies our emotional bodies expand and adjust to life experiences, and develope new perspectives.

Mentally growing up is relatively more wide open than our body and feeling growth. While our bodies reach limits, and so do our feelings, our thinking is part of a system which is infinite in its potential. Right now your use of mind is comparing and contrasting past understandings with that this blog is offering.

Be still and aware of your body and feelings, and your thinking will emerge as instrumental in this three part experience called life. Witnessing our thought -feeling-body connection is key to appreciating the everpresence which takes all form.

You are here to teach and share with your children.

As we emerged from nowhere to here we all embodied fear, anger, belonging, generosity. Our children are following the same formulaic growth. Our role as parents is to help them balance their potentials as they daily leave the guidance we offered and choose their own ways.

How do you use courage each day? How do you overcome potential threats? Choose a single word which embodies your highest understanding of purpose. For now I suggest kindness to support courage.

Focus on and breathe kindness as support for courage, and you will immediately resume embodiment of parental wisdom which has brought you here and now.

Being kindness teaches our bodies, feelings, thoughts and children the power of courage needed to grow and heal.
